Suicidal Thoughts & Emotional Crisis
Compassionate support for this challenge.
Suicidal Thoughts & Emotional Crisis
I also support people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts or ideation. This can feel like something you visit often during periods of distress, or something that appears suddenly and feels frightening. You may feel you're usually the "strong one" for others, yet find yourself struggling privately.
Suicidal Thoughts Are Communication
When someone reaches a point of suicidal thoughts, it's often not because they're weak, but because they've been carrying too much for too long without enough support. Suicidal thoughts represent a part of you in deep emotional pain—a part that doesn't want you to continue suffering the way you are, even if the thoughts themselves feel distressing.
Understanding the Jug
Think of a jug—when we constantly pour into others, manage responsibilities, and navigate stressors without replenishing ourselves, the jug becomes empty. At that point, it can feel as if there's nothing left to draw from. That's when despair can set in.
Held & Supported
I hold this work with great care, respect, and non-judgment. We:
- Listen to what this part of you is trying to communicate
- Explore what you've been carrying and what needs support
- Build a safety plan collaboratively
- Work toward rebuilding safety, belonging, and mattering
- Help you reconnect with reasons for living
Important: If you're in immediate danger, please contact emergency services or a crisis line. I am not a crisis service but am here to support you in longer-term healing.
