Grief, Loss & Bereavement
Compassionate support for this challenge.
Grief, Loss & Bereavement
Grief does not come with a "how to" guide, and there is no right or wrong way to grieve. Every relationship is different, every loss is different, and every person experiences grief in their own unique way and at their own pace.
Grief Can Feel Like
- Sadness, anger, numbness, or confusion
- Guilt or relief (which can feel contradictory)
- Anxiety about the future without that person
- Exhaustion and difficulty functioning
- Waves of emotion that feel unpredictable
- Disconnection from the person and fear of forgetting
Holding On While Letting Go
Grief is "love with nowhere to go." Many people feel stuck between wanting to move forward and fearing that letting go of pain means losing the person. Healing through grief is not about forgetting or "moving on," but about finding a way of holding onto the love, memories, and meaning while slowly carrying the pain in a way that feels less overwhelming.
