Emotional Overwhelm
Sometimes emotions can feel too much to hold alone. You may find yourself shutting down, becoming reactive, or feeling emotionally exhausted. I provide a supportive space to help you understand your emotional responses and feel more able to manage and express them safely.
What Emotional Overwhelm Feels Like

- Emotional shutdown or numbness as a protection
- Reactive outbursts that surprise or distress you
- Difficulty naming or understanding what you're feeling
- Exhaustion from holding so much emotion inside
- Fear of your own emotions

Building Emotional Capacity
Emotional overwhelm often comes from not having had space earlier in life to feel and process emotions safely. Your system may have learned that emotions are dangerous or unmanageable.
Learning to Hold Your Feelings
Together, we work to:
- Create a safe space where all your emotions are welcome
- Learn to name and understand what you're feeling
- Develop ways to regulate intense emotions
- Build tolerance for feeling big feelings without being controlled by them
- Express emotions in healthy, manageable ways
