Anger Management

Understanding what your anger is trying to tell you.

Anger Management

Anger is often misunderstood as simply a problem to be controlled, but it's usually a signal—of a boundary being crossed, a need going unmet, or older pain that hasn't had anywhere to go. If anger is affecting your relationships, your work, or how you feel about yourself, we can work to understand what's underneath it, not just manage the symptoms.

What This Might Look Like

  • Feeling like your anger comes on quickly, or more intensely than the situation seems to call for
  • Saying or doing things in anger that you later regret
  • Anger that masks other feelings—hurt, fear, shame, or exhaustion
  • Worry about the impact your anger is having on people close to you

How We Work Together

We work to understand your anger with curiosity rather than shame—what tends to trigger it, what it might be protecting you from, and what it's asking for. From there, we build a wider range of ways to respond, so that anger doesn't have to be the only way your needs get expressed.

Worth sitting with The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
