Abuse & Domestic Abuse
A safe, confidential space to be believed and heard.
Abuse & Domestic Abuse
Abuse takes many forms—emotional, physical, sexual, or the ongoing pattern of control and fear that defines domestic abuse. Whatever you've experienced, and whenever it happened, it was not your fault. This is a space where you can go at your own pace, and where nothing you share will be met with judgement.
What This Might Include
- Emotional or psychological abuse—control, humiliation, manipulation
- Physical abuse, past or present
- Sexual abuse or assault, at any point in your life
- Domestic abuse within a current or past relationship
- Dissociation—feeling disconnected from your body, your emotions, or reality as a way of coping
How We Work Together
We move at whatever pace feels safe for you—there is no obligation to share details before you're ready, and we will always talk about boundaries and pacing together. Over time, we work to:
- Process what happened in a way that feels manageable, not overwhelming
- Understand protective responses like dissociation, freeze, or people-pleasing
- Rebuild a sense of safety in your body and your relationships
- Separate what was done to you from who you are
